Yesterday, I had the complete good fortune to photograph Selina + Gareth’s beautiful wedding at Elixir Shore Club, in a stunning bay on the on the West Coast of Ibiza! And what a gorgeous day it was too…
My trusty wingman Hamish & I flew out on Saturday to settle in with the gang for a few relaxed drinks at Maya Bar on Cala Vadella. Then at lunchtime on Sunday we joined the happy couple to document their chilled preparations around Ibiza resort apartments, pools and beaches! Around 4pm everyone headed up the coast to the stunning beachfront Elixir Shore Club for the wedding reception. Nestled above the quiet sandy beach of Cala Codolar and overlooking the famous site of Es Vedra and towards gorgeous sunsets, this spot is really the magical setting for a wedding abroad!
Not only this, but Selina + Gareth make such a wonderful pair – it’s always nice photographing a chilled, caring and considerate couple, so very much in love. They’ve been through a lot together over their ten years together, and as both their fathers have passed away, emotions were raw.  It wasn’t the first time I’ve photographed a wedding for this crowd, as I joined Selina’s sis, Analise get married to Paul 3 years previously in beautiful North Yorkshire – and I’d met Selina’s lovely Dad there. It was great to catch up with those familiar faces, as well as have a laugh with a load of new faces, amongst Selina & Gary’s party people!
