Introducing the lovely, and soon to be married, Helen & Guy!
Instead of meeting these guys at their wedding venue for their pre-wed, Priory Cottages at Syningthwaite, I met them at Harlow Carr Royal Horticultural Society Gardens near Harrogate.
I’ve never been here before and they’re an enormous, beautifully manicured gardens, full of seasonal surprises and flora!
After having rain checked one pre-wed date with Helen & Guy, the date we’d postponed to also sported rain of biblical proportions! We decided to go for it anyway and after driving up with wipers on full speed, were bizarrely lucky with a break in the weather!
As Harlow Carr are one of Helen’s clients, we were able to go in after hours and have the whole place to ourselves!
Plenty of time to get used to the bizarre feeling of being photographed!
These guys took to it well!
I liked the look of this angular greenhouse we found…
and the sign round the side made me smile.
Less than mediterranean indeed!
A little set of individual portraits!
and up in the corner of the gardens was this fun little structure…
and inside we had a little tea-party!
Another brilliant area for a cuddle was under these overhead hanging flowers! This gnarly tree looked pretty cool too
♥
This is one of my faves.
It’s all about the laid-back portraits
Though a big Hollywood smooch can be fun too!
Towards the end of the shoot the naughty rain came out again…
Awww
I rather liked this water feature for a quick snap
And this Red pagoda in front of fun purple Allium (check out my flower knowledge!)
We decided to call it a day and head back to shelter, but we were super lucky to get that break in the weather hey?!
Can’t wait for their big day at the Priory in July!
