Yesterday I joined Jessica & Stewart for their wedding photography at The Pheasant in Harome, over the North York Moors in North Yorkshire
In spite of the mist and fog on the way over, it turned into a beautiful Autumnal day in Harome, and with some inspired vintage touches, a gorgeous Jenny Packham gown and the inspired country interior design touches around The Pheasant, it was a wonderful day indeed!
I absolutely LOVE the countrified interior design around The Pheasant!
I’ve been doing similar in my lounge at home, with red leather chesterfields, antlers & tweedy touches, but the way it’s done here is genius…
I’d love to come for a long weekend to Harome and stay here myself, and also revisit the (now Michelin Starred) gastro fare at The Star down the road!
Over in the Pheasant suite I found an excited bride and maids in matching dressing gowns!
I always enjoy capturing the fun of the morning with the girls…
Check out this awesome Jenny Packham gown! I’ve seen this before, but not in this gorgeous Platinum colour!
Jess’s Bridesmaid Abi has her own floristry company (Bohemia Floral Design) and did a cracking job with all the lovely flora throughout the day.
Always nice to see a few tears when a bride reads a card from her hubby to be!
Speak of the devil!
Loving these pics Hamish captured of James and his crew getting ready
It’s all about the tweedy ties with hand stitched name tags!
One groom, ready to party!
And how much better do fitted suits look than hire suits?!
Nothing like a bit of fashionable tardiness!
😉
Stunning!
Here comes the bride!
Always nice to do a big bomb of confetti!
Then in the warm afternoon sun, guests mingled on the terrace with champagne and real ale!
After a good mingle, we did the family lineups and had a bit of fun arranging some regal-looking wedding party team shots…
I love doing these shots. Everyone’s doing something just slightly different and there’s loads to look at!
Then I took the happy couple off for a quick round of portraits in the evening sunshine
It seemed only fair to get Stu’s beloved Beemer involved in the shoot!
This is one of my fave shots of the day, out by the village pond opposite The Pheasant
Then before the wedding meal, speeches were conducted on the veranda – which I thought was a lovely relaxed way to conduct them than from the top table
The gents favours / place settings were specially chosen real ales from a local brewer, and Hamish & I even got one each! (Cheers guys!)
After the meal, dusk had rolled in, and the terrace brazier had been fired up, so we did a few quick portraits before evening guests arrived
Then when they’ve assembled, we popped out again for a bit of fun with sparklers!
♥
Turns out Jessica’s dad Peter is a dab hand at baking, and made the wedding cake & a fruity sponge cake!
Then it was time for the first dance, and to get the party going!
What a lovely day eh? Super chilled, in a stunning setting and a lovely, fun couple.
Congratulations kids! Here’s hoping you have an amazing honeymoon in Cornwall (and Antigua in December!)
