This beautiful November morning a few pals & I ran the Abbey Dash – an annual 10km road race in aid of Age UK held in the heart of Leeds!

They’re nothing spectacular, but I thought I’d share a few pics of the event I caught on my iPhone.
We’ve done the Abbey Dash 3 times, before and we arrived as Nell McAndrew did her usual warm up.

Here’s our team before the race!

With around 8,000 runners it has been voted as one of the top three road races in the UK by Runners World Magazine, and it raises an amazing £200,000 for Age UK.

I’d not done a vast amount of training, and aimed for sub an hour, so I was pleased with 58:20!

The edge was taken off a bit when I crossed the finish line to find Clare had arrived there less than a minute earlier!

[But good on her!  She trained, and beat her three goals: PB, sub an hour and beat me!]

Here’s the team looking tired but happy in our race T’s!

It was great to hit the German Market in town afterwards for Frankfurters and rosti’s!  Good work team and good work everyone involved!
