Yesterday I joined the lovely Sam & Rob for their wonderfully summery wedding at The Mansion in Roundhay Park, Leeds!
It’s not the first time I’ve photographed at this beautiful Yorkshire Barn venue – you see all my weddings at The Mansion in Leeds here!
I hope you enjoy our the story of this special day!
I joined the girls for their preparations at Weetwood Hall in Leeds
Where Sam was already looking stunning!
Sam had chosen a silver silk wedding gown! Â First time I’ve seen one and it looked stunning!
A few little gifts sent over from Rob (including a lovely pair of diamond earings!)
Their little 2yr old daughter Lucy was really the star of the show!
Oh, and the lovely little Bethany – shame she couldn’t keep her sparkly shoes on!
Ace photographer (& all round lovely lady)Â Natasha Cadman joined me in tag team, 2nd shooty duties, and joined the chaps at the Fox & Hounds in Bramhope
…where a few bloody mary’s were setting the nerves at bay!
Loving Rob’s family pocket watch!
Suited, socked and booted, and ready to roll!
Meanwhile, the girls were also wrapping up their preparations!
This was a very sweet moment. Â Dad came in to see his little girl, immediately welled up and had to walk out; only to return glassy eyed with pride!
Doing a quick team bride group before the bridesmaids headed on, they broke into a rendition of ‘Going To The Chapel!
Literally going to the chapel!
Here comes the bride!
I liked this little spot of them holding hands.
CONFETTI BOMB!
Then it was off to the Mansion on a vintage bus to continue the celebrations!
Meanwhile, I met our newlyweds at the Specialist Gardens down the road from The Mansion, where we’d done their practice ‘pre-wedding’ portraits a few months back. Â You can see their practice pics here, and they really helped us get the lovely pics we caught today.
Then we headed back to The Mansion to join the guests
After a bit of fun on the bus (where an excited Lucy was happy to see them!)
The Mansion is a brilliant venue, with the vistas across Roundhay Park, stunningly furnished inside and run by the super professional Michael & James from Dine Services.
Neither Lucy nor I expected us to catch two ladies motorboating this early in the day!
After a good mingle, we whistled through a few family groups
Then had a bit of fun with the wedding party!
Foxy!
It’s all about the socks…
…and the gun show!
The wedding breakfast room looked stunning!
Lucy wasn’t in the best of sorts for a lot of the day, but I really wanted to get a relaxed family shot of the three of them, so we used the beautiful Mansion Staircase.
After the first dance the bride had a song to dance with dad, and Rob had a little dance with Lucy.
During the evening we ran our fun photobooth!
…which got progressively more surreal throughout the evening!
Then after a little boogie…
…some were getting a tad partied out…
…but the rest of us headed outside to launch some lucky lanterns into the night!
What a wonderfully happy wedding, beautifully done. Â The dress, the food, the fun – a perfect day all round!
Thank you Sam, Rob & your mentile friends and family for making Natasha & I feel so at home! Â Here’s to a fab honeymoon in the Maldives!
