Yesterday I joined Aimee + Sam for their wedding photography in Aimee’s family farm in the village of Nunburnholme, near the town of Pocklington in East Yorkshire!

I do love it when I’m asked along photograph weddings in tiny villages, around family homes & farms, with a marquee in the back garden!  With family photos, and their dogs Oscar & Ella the collies shuffling round, it just makes the day so much more personal and intimate.  The sun even put on his hat and came out to play, making their hay bail strewn lawn, covered in games for the kids to play, the perfect place for a summer wedding reception!

Aimee’s a professional horse rider too, and around the family farm were a harras (I googled that!) of beautiful horses (and a beautiful fluffy foal!). Sam’s a professional DJ, and had his close DJ buddies as groomsmen to usher and entertain – including a DJ & photographer pal of mine Martyn Hand on best man duties (who delivered a great speech!).

As well as the highlights in this blog post, you can also view & purchase prints from Aimee + Sam’s wedding (including their pre-wedding shoot and the full set of wedding images in under a month) at clients.barnabyaldrick.com/AimeeAndSam (the password is the brides surname and the grooms surname, eg. SmithJones).

My second photographer Becki McPhillips and I had such a lovely time photographing this wedding and I hope you enjoyed the slideshow above (set to their first dance and another fave song) and the highlights below as much as we did shooting them!

What a beautiful wedding hey, and what a lovely pair!

Here’s wishing Aimee + Sam a magic life together and a fantastic, relaxing honeymoon!

Loads of love guys!
