Yesterday I joined Jenny & Danny to photograph their big day at Whitley Hall Hotel, near Wortley in North Sheffield
I hope you enjoy our the story of this special day!
Nestled in the rural rolling hills North of Sheffield is the stunning 16th century ivy-clad mansion of Whitley Hall Hotel.
I joined Jenny, mum & the girls during their morning pamper, and while the girls had their hair done, took a few photos of the details…
“Just a little something to start our wonderful day”
Aww.
I love all the goings on in this image!
Meanwhile, Clare joined Danny and the boys downstairs in the lounge for a few informal shots
Jenny sent Danny a beautiful titanium watch and Liverpool cufflinks as a little wedding day gift!
Team bride, ready to roll!
Here comes the bride!
A brilliant expression as Danny glanced down the aisle and whipped back with a tear in his eye!
Love this little lad’s expression!
Everyone headed outside for drinks and canapes, while all seasons passed!
A quick blast of rain came and went! Not a problem for our star flower girl!
It was great to see some old school pals at the wedding, Matt and Phoebe (who it turned out was a cousin of the bride!)
Whitley Hall Hotel has a family of peacocks who strut around the place making a racket and looking impressive!
After a quick teamshot of everyone…
We did a spot of ‘bubblefetti’!
The courtyard in front of the house was such a lovely spot for a round of portraits, but rain called off play so we headed inside for a few more…
As Danny’s a pro golfer, there was a distinct golf theme, and tables were named after Danny’s favourite courses (with a little description on the back, such as “Beautiful Hotel, unfortunately for Jenny surrounded by a Golf Course”)
Speeches were great fun!
The official cutting of the golf themed cake!
Then during the evening reception we were blessed with some glorious evening sunshine…
So I asked the newlyweds if they fancied another little round of portraits.
It had really helped that we’d done the pre-wedding practice shoot at Whitley Hall back in March, in spite of it being covered with snow! The practice portraits were great fun and it was a fab opportunity for me to get familiar with Whitley Hall for the big day shoot. Check out the snowy pre-wed blog of highlights here.
There’s also this ace rusty container that we found for pics on the pre-wed, which they fancied using again.
I like the blend of smart & rusty.
Good modelly thousand yard stare Danny!
After the Stereophonics-led first dance, The Black Eyed Peas turned into a full dancefloor into a right ol’ party!
(In my opinion, that ‘I’ve got a feeling’ track is the best song going to follow up a first dance with!)
Then, after a beautiful fun-filled day, we bid the wedding party farewell, leaving the gang to continue raising the roof.
Thank you Jenny & Danny for asking us along to your splendid wedding & for being such great sports. Have an ace honeymoon in Morocco!
