A little while back I joined Helen & Adam for their pre-wedding practice shoot at Kirkstall Abbey, ahead of their wedding at Wood Hall in Linton.
The Abbey is only down the hill from my where I live and it’s a lovely spot to walk the dog.
I’m always impressed by the size of it, standing there in the middle of the Leeds suburbs.
I met Helen & Adam for a quick catch up at the Gatehouse Cafe over the road from the Abbey to discuss the big day plans.
Then we headed over the road for the scary bit, the practice shoot!
Fortunately they’d brought their pooch Piper along for a bit of moral support!
While Piper skipped about merrily we got down to the ‘shoot!
I always find these shoots useful to show a couple how it feels to be photographed, as it’s usually quite strange!
So to have been through it already makes the shoot on the big day both quicker and easier.
Awww, look at her silly ears!
I actually know Helen as a pal, so it was great to finally meet Adam properly!
We decided to end by going into the Abbey just before closing for a few final pics in the evening sunshine.
And ended with a smooch at the gates!
Fun times eh?
Stay tuned for the highlights from their big day at Wood Hall in a few weeks!
