Next Saturday I’ll be joining these lovely creatures to photograph their wedding at The Priory Cottages near Wetherby!
I always like to meet upcoming couples for a catch up and a practice shoot, and if I’ve shot at their venue before, I let them choose a place to meet.
Kelly & Richard chose the beautiful Yorkshire market town of Knaresborough, where they live.
When we met you could see the early preparations for the ‘Grand Depart’ of this weekends Tour De France, with yellow flags and bikes all over town!
I’ve been to Knaresborough since this, and now the streets are literally strewn with washing lines hanging thousands of tiny cycling t-shirts!
Knaresborough is a fascinatingly ancient town to wander round, and it’s fun to spot the fake painted in windows on many buildings.
So after a coffee and a good natter about the big day plans, we took to the streets for our practice, wandering in the direction of the old castle
Aww. What a lovely pair.
Just by the castle is my fave view of Knaresborough, overlooking the iconic viaduct
As good a spot as any for a smooch if you ask me!
I do try to show couples that the shoot isn’t super staged, just an opportunity to relax together and have a bit of fun.
Not too serious eh Richard?!
😉
Nice bit of blossom out too!
Clearly these guys are lovely together and very much in love, so here’s looking forward to joining them this weekend for the big day!
