It’s always nice to be up at the beautiful Middleton Lodge. It’s genuinely one of my favourite venues in all of Yorkshire; and all the more so when the sun’s out!
These guys had dreamt up all kinds of creative touches to place around the wedding!
The lodge itself is a beautiful backdrop, a house still lived in by the family who own it. I love the room bells, from the days when it was a busy country mansion!
The ceremony was in the grand staircase, beautifully decked out in delicate flora by Bow Kay Florists in Wolviston
Upstairs in the bridal suite, Jos’s bridal party were having a great time.
Our bride-to-be reading a card from her husband-to-be!
Jos’ ideas book show’s how much research she put into the big day!
Impressive handmade wedding shoes!
And a pair of dancing wedding pumps for later!
Meanwhile, outside my wingman & fellow pro shooter, Cris Matthews spent the morning documenting the chaps side of the story…
Which mainly involved playing cricket!
It is ALL about the top hat and cane combo!
Awesome sock skills too!
Back with the girls, ‘Kalms’ pills were being washed down with champagne!
What a beautiful bunch!
Always nice to catch the moment a proud father first sees his daughter on her big day.
Love this little frame Cris caught of the dudes doing a selfie…
…while Jonno & guests wait patiently downstairs
One guest was watching via skype from overseas!
Turns out these awesome canes actually have ninja vials under the handle to fill with scotch!
I REALLY need one of these
Here comes the bride…
Dancing out to Pharell’s ‘Happy’
A cained guard of honour!
So nice to have the sun blazing for the afternoon mingles.
A relaxed teamshot of the pals!
How cool do these dudes look?!
The full wedding party!
And the ladies!
Why trousers required rolling up for cricket I don’t know, but this was much fun to watch!
Then we took Jos & Jonno off for a quick portrait shoot around the grounds…
…and were joined by their little pooch Chilli, who’d been lording it in a nearby cattery!
I think this is my favourite frame of the day!
Another nice moment of this beautiful pair on the way back to the house…
Jonathan used to be in a band, and before heading down to the wedding meal, he and a bridesmaid played Elton John’s ‘Your Song’ to Jos & all the guests.
Then it was down to the marquee for the meal, which was dressed wonderfully with loads of smart details…
Cheese cake for the win!
Then it was time for us to bid our farewells to this happy couple!
Fun wedding eh?! Beautiful couple, lovely detail-filled venue and gorgeous sunshine all day!
Here’s wishing Jos & Jonathan huge congratulations, a happy life together and an awesome honeymoon in the Maldives!
