A few weeks back I joined Aneliese + Paul for their pre-wedding practice shoot in Roundhay Park in Leeds.
It was a pretty overcast day, but spring was in the air and the park was looking lovely.
After our catch up in the Roundhay Fox, we took to the (kind of secret) specialist gardens for the practice portrait shoot
I always like to put my couples through a round of practice pics just to show them how it feels to be photographed.
it’s equally a nice opportunity to get to know them better.
I generally do the pre-wedding shoot at the couple’s wedding venue, especially if I’ve not photographed there before, as it gives me a chance to scout for locations.
But these are actually getting married at The Crab & Lobster in Thirsk, in North Yorkshire, a fab boutique venue with loads of ace details and A YETI!
That’s right. A yeti. That likes to dress up.
You’ll see.
So because I’ve photographed there several times before, they chose the Roundhay Park for the pics, round the corner from their house and a place they like to hang out.
These gardens have some lovely spots for pics, and Paul &Â Aneliese took to being photographed brilliantly!
It’s always nice finding a couple who are really at ease with one another and can relax easily in front of the camera!
These pics were actually in the car park back at the Roundhay Fox, before we called it a day. Â I just really liked the texture of this old teal door!
So here’s looking forward to their wedding on Friday! Â It should be a fun one, so stay tuned for the wedding highlights blog!
