Yesterday I joined one of my most excellent couples Emma & James for their wedding at the stunning Mitton Hall, near Clitheroe in Lancashire.
It’s a crazy place. An ancient hall that’s been converted into a Boutique Hotel, that’s hugely inspiring now we’ve got a new house to play with.
Besides, anywhere that proudly hangs paintings of dogs in human clothes is good with me.
But I just noticed that in the madness of the past few months I’ve somehow managed to forget to blog their pre-wed practice shoot! Sorry guys!
Here are a few of my faves from their pre-wed:
Can I get some ZOOLANDER BLUE STEEL?!
And during a turn round the Mitton Hall grounds we tried a few practice portraits (mmm, SoCal backlight!)
Finally, after joining them in a local bitter before we split we found a tasty peeling blue door to get urban in front of. Naturals!
So – fast forward a wee bit to yesterday and we had a wedding!
It doesn’t get a great deal more weddingy than this pic does it? Bubbles & bouquets, all the way.
Somewhat less conventionally, the chaps we’re having a fry up with champagne too. Bacon & bubbles, all the way.
A shot that caught my eye back at the hall during Emma’s preps was this button-up-tag-teaming through the beautiful bridal suite 4-poster.
A cheeky cuddle in front of the hall.
Possibly my fave wedding car ever – a Jag MkII. They tell me they booked this car after seeing it on my website! I love it.
I’m feeling this walk-along-and-have-a-riotously-good-laugh-about-something shot.
The groomsmen had clearly modelled before. 😉
So – It was most excellent to join these two fine folk to celebrate their wedding day & to shoot in a completely new and stunning venue.
I’ll be posting the full wedding on the blog soon, but in the meantime I hope Emma & James have an ace time in Hawaii! Aloha!
