Above are the lovely Lisa & Andrew.  I did their wedding photography at Wentbridge House Hotel yesterday near Pontyfract.

Although I’ve a silly packed year ahead of me, it was my first wedding of the season and I was excited to try out a bunch of new lenses I’ve acquired.

It was at the lovely Wentbridge House Hotel near Pontefract.

I like the spirit of this one.

And the neatness of this one

Lisa’s eyes sparkled!

Her shoes rocked.

And instead of have a ring bearer, they stored them in a cute box and put them on the table during the ceremony.

Tom followed Andrew’s progress through the day

As did Lisa’s bemused father!

I love this this shot Tom caught of Andrew having a moment before the ceremony.

Another nice catch of the chaps receiving guests.

Probably my fave florist in the area Fiona (from Firenza Floral Design) did the flowers, studded with cherry blossom & rosemary

Look at that stunning bouquet!

I like this shot of Lisa’s unofficial bridesmaid Vicky helping Lisa on with her shoes.

A few final touchups

A quick portrait in the ace hollywood style mirror!

In came dad and all it took was a wink to set the waterworks going!

I like this one on the way down Wentbridge House’s ancient stairwell

Although they’d been in & out of each other’s rooms during the morning, this was their first glance fully togged up.

Unusually for me, I felt like doing their signing the register shot with the guests behind them.  I rather like it.

Although the weather had been up & down all day, it behaved exactly when we needed it!

And we got a cool group shot of the guests outside…

…a cheeky confetti shot…

And a bunch of quick line-ups.  I loved the backlit forested background.

I also loved having Tom’s watchful eye on the ball while I was doing the groups.  He caught this lovely shot of Lisa’s grandad.

Then Tommy & I took Lisa & Andrew for a quick stroll round Wentbridge

I like the tones on this one.  It’s on my new 50mm f1.2 (at f1.4 I believe), but you’ve got to love that soft blurry backlighting!

Before we wrapped up our portraits, Lisa asked if we could do a shot of them by the door like we did at their pre-wed shoot (post here)

They look cool side by side eh?

Meanwhile, while I shot them, Tommy was sneaking behind them and caught this blinder!

Here’a another snap of the amazing creation Firenza did for the table centrepieces, with peonies, cherry blossom & floating candles.

You can see why I love their work eh?

The cake was a cracker too!

I like this one of everyone up having that 2nd dance boogie people do before they realise they’re not drunk and sit down for half the night

It was ace joining Lisa & Andrew for their fun wedding.

Tom & I’d like to thank them both for asking us along to join in!
