I joined the girls for their fun, relaxed morning proceedings at their home in Chapel Allerton, while my wingman Andy joined the chaps for their preps at Lineham Farm. By day, the farm is actually a lovely Children’s Centre that’s been enhancing the lives of local children by providing much needed respite breaks and activity holidays since the mid 90’s.
Their ceremony was a stones throw from their house, at the beautiful St Matthew’s Church in Chapel Allerton (which is currently sporting an amazing art installation of a flock of doves made from plastic milk bottles).
I actually know Alison + Chris through my wife’s church group, ‘Revive’, so it was a real pleasure to witness their ceremony and hear all their fantastic music (which even included my wife on vocals!).
After a blast of confetti, we scooted through Adel and towards Eccup Reservoir and the rolling Yorkshire valleys around Arthington, and enjoyed the afternoon reception in the sun at the Farm. And just as the weather started to turn on us, we ducked into their beautiful marquee (tables named after their fave Lakeland stomps), for fun speeches and a BBQ!
The ‘High Mirrors’ evening band soon had the dancefloor bumping and all in all it had been the perfect day!
So get a mug of Yorkshire Tea on the go and enjoy their highlights slideshow below!
