Yesterday I joined my pals Helen & Adam for their wedding photography at Wood Hall in Linton, near Wetherby in Yorkshire!
It was a splendid day all round! The doom & gloom forecasts held off and a great deal of fun was had by all.
I hope you enjoy our the story of this special day!
I set off to join Helen & team Bride at Wood Hall, which is through the pretty, daff-filled village of Linton…
I love the long drive through the estate to Wood Hall. Â It’s all very Downton lord of the manor!
This chic, boutique hotel, was exclusively hired for Helen & Adam & little details were out when I arrived, including the wedding favours of spring bulbs to plant so they’ll come out every year round Helen & Adam’s anniversary!
In my opinion, all Bridal Suites should come with a badger
Here’s our lovely bride, Helen, applying the war paint
Helen & Adam brought their beloved hairy daughter Piper on the pre-wedding shoot, but she’d gone to stay at her best friends house on the day of the wedding.
While I was there Helen received a photo of Piper in a veil saying “CAN I BE YOUR BRIDESMAID MUMMY?”
😉
The beautiful Ronald Joyce dress
I approve of any flora containing herbs!
As beautiful as the grecian, tie-a-million-ways bridesmaids gowns were, it’s a shame the zebra onesy & flowery docs weren’t an option.
Meanwhile, my wingman at this wedding was York shooter Chris Milner, who headed over to Horsforth in Leeds to join Adam and Team Groom for their preps…
Nothing like a fry up to get the show on the road eh?
The cat seemed to agree…
Then it was time to head over to Wood Hall for the meet & greets…
The ceremony room was all set & dressed
Upstairs, Helen was gowning up…
This is one of my fave shots of the day
Though I’m also really pleased with these two.
It’s so nice when a bride’s ready with a few minutes in hand to do a set of portraits of here at her most perfect!
Dad seemed proud as punch!
Here comes the bride!
Then it was nice to pop outside for a few cuddles and congratulations…
…and a confetti bomb!
We quickly whistled through a few family groups…
…and had a bit more fun with the wedding party people!
Then Chris & I headed out for a quick round of couple portraits… And while I was doing these, Chris spotted this cheeky little photobomber at the window behind…
😉
Love this one, looking out over the rolling grounds
Then it was back to the party to join the guests for a mingle
The wedding breakfast was all set for a delicious meal
Mmmm! The menu looked delicious!
Why have one wedding cake when you can have two! And feature Lego? I ask you
The cake cake was cleverly crafted by their dear pal Kristalle!
The lovely speeches were conducted before the meal
Top anecdotes from the best man!
Then after cutting the cake, we left Helen, Adam & the gang to enjoy their lovely meal & the evening celebrations.
Top day eh? Â Here’s wishing these lovely kids a happy life together and a fab honeymoon in Canada!
