The other day I popped round to former wedding client’s Rachel & Iain’s house, to meet the latest addition to their family…
Little Eddie!
Iain & Rachel are a marvellous couple, who brought the fun to their amazing Pre-wedding walk in the Dales (post here) & on the day of their splendid wedding at Woodlands hotel in Leeds (post here).  Sometimes you just click with people.
I don’t do a great deal of baby shoots, as I find people I can actually communicate with a mission enough to photograph!
But it was great to shoot a few of this little chap, in their lounge. Â 
Apparently the name ‘Eddie’ was inspired by Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam!
Choice.
I brought along the flash heads to get a few contrasty b&w details.
It’s nice to show the difference in scale. with big hands & wee baby…
…wee fingernails & Daddy’s finger…
…and mum’s hands & wee feetses!
I like this one of Rach.
I couldn’t help but spot a likeness to Budda.

I didn’t ask Rach to look this solemn, but really feel this image shows the pride, love and seriousness of being a mother.
It’s a bond like no other.
And again, for me this image captures Iain’s pride; of his wife who brought his baby into the world.

One of the images I really wanted to get (which you’ve only got a small window to catch after a baby is born), is of a newborn all tucked up & asleep.
Awwww.
It was so good to see Rach & Iain again, and to meet their adorable little Eddie. Â All the best you guys…
