Last Saturday I joined Georgia + Marcus for their stunning wedding phtoos at Birdsall House wedding venue near Malton in North Yorkshire!
You genuinely couldn’t have asked for more from this incredible day! Blazing sun all day long, a stunning church & ceremony, bottomless G+M branded champers with croquet on the lawn, the best caterers in all of Yorkshire (IMO!), portraits in golden hour sunshine and a fab band! Plus, enjoying everyone moment, in the middle of it all, a drop-dead gorgeous couple who were a delight to be around!
I joined Team Bride for a relaxing morning in the Bridal Suite, having hair and make-up applied with a bit of fizz for lubrication! After Georgia’s mum and sis helped her into a stunning Ellis Bridals wedding gown, we invited Dad and the bridesmaids to see (cue tears!). The ceremony was a beautiful affair at St Mary’s Church (also on the Birdsall estate), and I zoomed over to join dashing Marcus and Team Groom at St Mary’s, donning Queens Flowers button-holes and greeting guests, in front of an amazing garden display the family had created at the church entrance.Â
After a lovely ceremony and a hail of confetti, they took the quick drive back to the house in their vintage car for a reception in the ruins, peppered with a few quick couple and family groups pics, and soundtracked by the HUM Gospel Choir who also serenaded us at the church! The reception was wrapped up with a pic of everyone outside the grand pillared portico frontage, before inviting guests into the ballroom for their delicious wedding breakfast by The Hog & Apple. After a round of golden hour pics, with Peacock’s hooting in the distance, it was back in for fun speeches, cutting the Charlotte Apple cake, and first dance! Then the hilarious, chatty band The New York Royals lit up the dancefloor and I even managed to capture the newlyweds hoisted up on their pals shoulders on the dancefloor – which is always a winner!
A perfect end to a perfect day!Â
This is the second time I’ve photographed at this this magnificent venue and I simply adore it! The co-ordinator Steph runs a tight ship with the owner Cara Willoughby, who are the same family who’ve owned and farmed this estate all the way back to 1540! It was great to join this lovely pair and fab to be back at Birdsall House! You couldn’t have hoped for a nicer couple, a nicer day and more perfect Yorkshire Wedding Photos. I hope you enjoy my slideshow and story through photos below!
In the meantime, feel free to share this loveliness to Facebook using the buttons at the bottom (or copy and paste the web address into a status), via my Facebook page here or hover to pin to Pinterest.
Here’s wishing this gorgeous pair a lifetime of happiness an amazing honeymoon island hopping in Greece!
