Wedding Photos at Priory Cottages nr Wetherby, Yorkshire: Grace + Harry

Yesterday I joined Grace + Harry for their relaxed Thursday wedding photos at The Priory in Syninthwiate, a stylish wedding barn on a working farm near Wetherby in Yorkshire!

Readers of this blog will know I’m a huge fan of dogs, and this was yet another lovely dog-centric wedding at The Priory! There were at least 5 pooches in attendance, including the happy couple’s sociable, bouncy pooch ‘Luna’ – dressed up with various flower collars, ‘Dog Of Honour’ bands & white wedding leadage!

Grace + Harry are are lovely chilled couple, who’ve been together for 12 years, since childhood holidays with their parents, who’ve been pals even longer. It’s a lovely story hearing how their friendship blossomed into love and how they got their very own fur baby in the shape of Luna! I think their careers as a fireman and School deputy head helped them stay relaxed and level headed in the moment, and they just seemed to always be having a great time with their near and dear!

After this blazing stretch of summer, they were hopeful to have their ceremony outside the barn, but a drizzly morning almost put that out of the picture. But just before their 12.30 ceremony, things dried out and guests rallied together to bring chairs and flower arches outside for a lovely ceremony overlooking the courtyard! Caterer extraordinaire Taste Cuisine laid out delicious canapés, drinks and a fabulous wedding meal, after touching speeches from the wedding party.

I do love a chilled out wedding at Priory Cottages, it just so relaxed (read: brilliantly well run by the amazing co-ordinator Amy!). After cutting their cake (complete with a topped or Luna eating the cake), the dancefloor whipped up and guests got stuck in! We took a final stroll up Featherbed Lane for a final cuddle by flashlight and left them to party!

Can’t ask for more really… A lovely day all round!
