Last week I headed out into deepest East Yorkshire to join up with these guys, Jess & Stew, to catch up ahead of their big day this weekend.
These guys live in the tiny village of Lockington not too far from Beverley, over towards Hull. It’s all wonderfully flat and arable, and John Deer rules the road.
I joined them for a brew and a catch up at their house, to talk through the big day plans up at the Pheasant in Harome this weekend.
Then we tied in the practice portrait shoot with a walk for their wee hairy man, Wilson!
I always like to do a round of ‘pre-wedding’ photos to get my couples used to being papped ahead of the wedding day.
It makes the actual portraits on the day so much easier when we’re all on the same page.
I liked that the main sign in the village had one thing on it, and that was the church!
Parochial much!?
😉
I do love dogs, and they’re a great way to get a more family like vibe to a couple shoot…
…and a nice way to get some pics of their furry friend!
Though to be honest, most dog photos do end up looking like this!
Just before arriving back at the house we did one last set of pics on the village bench…
…with one final relaxed team shot with Wilson, before heading home.
Stay tuned for their official wedding blog later this weekend!
