On Saturday I joined Rachel + Rob for their drizzly but MOST EXCELLENT wedding photos at The Priory in Syninthwiate, a swanky wedding barn on a working farm near Wetherby in Yorkshire!
A live sax/house-led, 1980’s-themed, family-friendly vibe was the order of the day – with a genuinely lovely couple at the centre of shenanegans!
After relaxed preps in the cottages, and a fun civil ceremony upstairs in the barn, a shower of guests showered them with confetti over the balcony. A hardy Yorkshire crowd didn’t complain about a quick dash out and back for a shot round the pond. Then as the DJ and live Saxophonist got their slightly mental pals dancing from about 3.30pm onwards!
Rachel and Rob are wonderfully social souls, getting stuck into in the middle of things, yet very much involving their young lad and an 11 year old daughter. It was nice to capture a few special moments between them all throughout the day.
Wedding breakfast tables were named after retro ’80s movies, with an impressive cake made by a pal. So many close pals got stuck in helping make the day as special as it was. Then after a delicious meal by Taste Cuisine, it was lovely to enjoyed the hilarious speeches.
As it’d dried a tad for the post dinner lull, we took a relaxed stroll about for a few more pics, then before we knew it, DJ/Sax-man were back at it and the dancefloor was bumpin’! This crowd loved a dance!
You couldn’t ask for more really… A lovely day all round! I do love a wedding at Priory Cottages, it just such a lovely venue, and amazingly run by the lovely Kat!
